Lokhitavadi Deshmukh served in the Judicial Department from 1844 to 1879 in the State of Bombay which stretched upto Sindh Province. It included what is today’s Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. He also served as the Dewan in the princely State of Ratlam which is in Madhya Pradesh.
